‘Supernatural’ season 11 finale spoilers: First look at God versus Amara, ‘Alpha and Omega’

Supernatural -

We are starting to near the end of the road for “Supernatural” this season, and it certainly appears as though there is one word we can use to describe the May 25 finale: Epic. “Alpha and Omega” is the title for this particular installment of the show, and now that we know for certain that Chuck is actually God, he is going to have to figure out precisely what he wants to do with his sister Amara, who has been terrorizing Sam and Dean in some shape or form most of the season. (Ah, the photo above brings back memories.)

This week, The CW released the first synopsis for this episode, and while it may be rather short, at least it does offer up some insight:

“God (guest star Rob Benedict) comes to a decision about Amara (guest star Emily Swallow) that has direct repercussions for Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles).”

One of the things that we currently find ourselves wondering is actually rather simple here: How in the world does the show top a showdown involving none other than God? That’s not exactly a subtle storyline. You probably have to go in an entirely other direction, since you’re really not going to be able to deliver something that is of a similar magnitude for the 12th season unless you really just find a way to bring back some of the same people all over again.

Of course, we imagine that we will have some other news on this finale as we get a little bit closer to it airing.
