‘Arrow’ season 4 finale spoilers: Oliver to have help from ‘surprising force’

This week, “Arrow” lifted the veil on some of the latest details regarding its May 25 finale “Schism,” but let’s just say that The CW is not exactly liberal when it comes to sharing information. It’s surprising given how free they typically are with their information, but it may be a good thing. Do you really want to be that spoiled in advance?

There is still one interesting thing about the synopsis below that is worth discussing:

“Oliver (Stephen Amell) teams up with a surprising force in an attempt to stop Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and his magic once and for all.”

So who is this “surprising force”? One easy guess would be Malcolm Merlyn, but we don’t know how surprising that would be at this point given that he has helped out Oliver and company (yes, that reference was intentional) at some points before. For some time, they were (kind of) on the same side! We’d love to imagine that it be someone like Slade Wilson, but we haven’t even seen him in over a season.

Maybe this is a case of the past meeting the present for Oliver, and he teams up with Shadowspire; or, maybe we’re completely off-base and there is something else coming up moving forward this season that will give us some further information. We don’t quite know what is going to happen just yet, but we’re fairly confident it will be interesting to watch unfold. Stay tuned for more scoop soon!
