‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 23 preview: Aftermath of big Sara Ramirez – Jessica Capshaw story

On tonight’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” we have one of the most emotional stories of the entire season thanks to Callie and Arizona going through their custody battle for Sofia. It’s a chance for Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw to get some powerful material, but at the same time we have to imagine that this said material is incredibly difficult for the two of them to play. Who wouldn’t struggle when you’re talking about someone losing time with a child they consider their own?

The aftermath of this storyline is going to continue moving into next week’s episode “At Last,” though at the same time we know that there are some other subjects that are also going to be addressed as the show opens up more to some other storylines and also relationships. The synopsis below specifically mentions Owen and Amelia, who made a decision recently to try to give their relationship a little bit more of a go:

“Owen and Amelia take their relationship to the next level; Alex gains some clarity on his future with Jo; and Callie and Arizona continue to struggle with the current custody arrangement.”

Whatever happens here is going to carry almost directly over into the finale airing two weeks from tonight, which should give some stories some resolution while also opening the doors for some more storylines over the course of season 13. Sure, there are rumors surrounding Ramirez’s future on the show beyond this season, but we will take a wait-and-see approach on what happens with the Callie character now that she has seemingly lost custody.
