‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Ellen Pompeo, cast negotiating new deals

Grey's Anatomy -The great news for “Grey’s Anatomy” is that in its 12th season, the show is somehow now the #1 drama for ABC yet again. Its staying power is largely unrivaled, with shows like “NCIS,” “Survivor,” and “Law & Order: SVU” being up there when it comes to finding a way to continually get a second life against all odds.

The downside of that is merely that you do have to come up with ways to pay for the show’s rather-massive cast. According to a new report coming in from Entertainment Weekly, the likes of Ellen Pompeo (Meredith), Justin Chambers (Alex), Chandra Wilson (Bailey), Sara Ramirez (Callie), Kevin McKidd (Owen), James Pickens Jr. (Webber), and Kevin McKidd (Owen) could all be up for new deals in the months to come, and of course they would want a respectable share of the pie.

For many of them, it feels fairly certain that they will not be going anywhere. As a matter of fact, both McKidd and Chambers have already made it clear that they plan on being back, and it’s hard to see the show about Meredith Grey. There have been rumors about a Callie exit ever since Ramirez posted something reasonably-cryptic on social media, but we personally didn’t see that as confirmation of her departing just as much as it is a sign that she was done with this season. Maybe you could say it was a negotiating tactic, but we’re not really thinking in that sort of rigid terms.

While it’s certainly possible we lose a cast member or two, we’re assuming that the majority of the group will be back.
