‘Royal Pains’ season 8 video: Showrunners discuss final stories ahead

“Royal Pains” is ending in a matter of just months on USA, and we’re already getting to the point where we’re starting to get a little bit nostalgia for HankMed and some of the many characters both in it and around it. The first of the final eight episodes airs on May 18, and we’ve got a way to help you prepare even further.

In the video, executive producers Andrew Lenchewski and Michael Rauch do their best to lay out some of what is going to be hopefully an eventful, exciting batch of episodes ahead. They go through the process of explaining when they first thought about the show’s ending (years ago!), how there were a couple of unexpected curveballs thrown in their direction, and how grateful they are to the fans for helping them keep the show on the air for so long. There have been a few USA series who have been lucky enough to be on the air for eight seasons, and this show now joins that elite club that includes “Monk” and “Psych.”

For those of you who are struggling to remember every finer detail of story from the show to date, rest assured that the video also has you covered in that department! It catches you up on a couple of key plot points, and prepares you to have one last summer in the Hamptons. It may have never been one of the most well-known shows on TV, but we have a soft spot for it in our heart and we’re going to miss it.
