‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 19: The latest Leah Pipes – Cami shocker

Meet Cami -

In some ways, people watching “The Originals” probably saw the events of tonight’s event coming. Yet, it is almost for that reason that we are shocked. Typically, foreshadowing that someone is going to die on TV these days suggests that they are not going to make it through. That was not the case here at all.

During this episode, we ended up seeing the end for Leah Pipes’ character of Cami … again. Things started off bad for her courtesy of the poisoning, but the heartbreaking part of this episode is that Klaus was ultimately unable to save her. This is a man who has lived for centuries upon centuries, and yet this may be one of the most heartbreaking things that has transpired for him. He’s lost someone who understood him in a way few others did, and their relationship had evolved in a variety of different ways.

Of course, you always have to wonder with this show if someone is really gone, mostly because of what they’ve done with Kol, or how it turned out that Cami was still around after she died the first time. However, things aren’t looking good for her right now.

If this is the end, kudos to Pipes on a great performance as she heads out the door. We imagine that there are going to be plenty of people out there with an interest in hiring her, so she probably doesn’t have a whole lot to worry about when it comes to job security moving forward. We just know we’ll miss her here if she is truly gone.
