‘Mistresses’ season 4 promo touts Joss’ survival, Jerry O’Connell

We should start off our discussion of the latest “Mistresses” promo by putting on our Captain Obvious hat for a minute here: Of course Joss was going to survive the events of the finale! While she may have had a gun pointed at her head, she is arguably the show’s main character now with Savi gone. Losing her at a time when we’re also seemingly losing Calista Raines from the main cast could have simply been too much.

Of course, the remainder of the promo opts to really just focus on one thing, and one thing only: Saucy drama. This is the sort of show that this is! It’s wild, crazy, and at times stuffed with more twists than anyone knows what to do with. We’ve also got hookups and plenty of relationship drama taking place for start to finish.

Do we think that the same people who are happy now will be happy at the end of the season? Probably not, mostly because that is how the world of this show works.

One other notable thing about this promo is Jerry O’Connell, who is poised to have a significant presence over the course of the season ahead. In having him on board, it does help to at least give the show another marketable name. While we do enjoy this as perfect summer fun, it also has to be noted that this is far from the highest-rated show out there. There are a small but loyal group of people who watch.
