‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 20 preview: A key Ian Somerhalder choice in ‘Kill Them All’

Salvatore -

Anytime that a show like “The Vampire Diaries” titles an episode something like “Kill Them All,” it is pretty darn easy to figure out that this show is going to be giving you one of the most dramatic reveals that it has at any point over the course of its run. After seeing the synopsis below, including some news on a key Damon decision, it’s easy to figure out why we’re getting so much hype:

“With Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) life at stake and an uphill battle ahead of them, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) lead the charge to save Bonnie before her condition worsens. Stefan (Paul Wesley) reluctantly teams up with Matt (Zach Roerig) for the sake of Bonnie and uncovers the truth behind Matt’s anger towards him. Elsewhere, determined to help her best friend, Caroline (Candice King) joins Alaric (Matt Davis) on a mission and quickly realizes how much she’s missed her former supernatural lifestyle. Finally, after their plan takes an unexpected turn, Damon makes a fateful decision that will forever change his relationship with Bonnie.”

We suppose if there is one silver lining in this synopsis, it is that Kat Graham already said she was leaving the show after next season. Therefore, unless she was really tricking everyone in one of the most effective ways imaginable, we have to think that she will find a way to work through this.

With that said, there are fates that are equally as bad as death on this show, and if she finds herself fractured and splintered off from the other characters, that is certainly far from great. We’ll be back soon with a larger preview for this episode and much more.
