‘The Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus’ unscripted biker show lands premiere date

Walking DeadAs many of you out there already know, Norman Reedus has extended his relationship with AMC beyond “The Walking Dead” and playing Daryl Dixon (pictured above): He’s also got a new unscripted foray coming up entitled “Ride with Norman Reedus.” This show takes the actor to new and interesting places in America, and it also now has an official premiere date: Sunday, June 12 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, following a new episode of “Preacher.” It’s certainly a good lead-in for the show, and we imagine that the network has some expectations that this could be a hit given the star power of the popular actor.

In addition to the premiere date, here’s what AMC had to say about the series:

“Each one-hour installment of “Ride with Norman Reedus” will feature Reedus with a riding companion – notable guests include Peter Fonda, Robert Rodriguez and Balthazar Getty – as they journey to new destinations throughout the United States, including North Carolina, Florida, California, Nevada, Texas and Louisiana. Reedus and friends stop by various locales such as custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector’s warehouses, or a roadside smokehouse.”

For those of you who are taking this as a sign that Norman could be the one killed by Negan on “The Walking Dead,” don’t. This was filmed during some of his downtime from the show, and if it does continue, there’s no reason to think that this could change.

We’re excited for this show, mostly because we do like series that feature a heavy travel element, and we also of course are a big supporter of everything Norman does. We’ll have to see what happens here when it airs.
