On Thursday night’s new episode of “The Choice,” it’s likely that you have not heard of every male member of the celebrity panel — then again, it is pretty likely that you have heard of Joe Jonas. The middle child within the Jonas Brothers (at least of the ones in the band) is going to be one of the men looking for love (or at least a date that could go somewhere) with one of the women hand-picked to be sent out to sell themselves in a “blind audition” sort of scenario. Joining Joe this week is former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Michael Catherwood along with Seth Westcott and Parker Young.
Ultimately, the previews below show that the problems with the series are still there — even though the guys cannot see their female suitors, the arguments that the ladies make are almost all superficial. It also seems at times that the guys aren’t always taking the idea even remotely seriously, asking questions like “do you like cup holders?” to the women during the rapid-fire questions around. (With that being said, Joe does seem to be pretty genuine here with what he is looking for.)
Cat Deeley will once again host the show, which is a reminder that even someone who hosts one of the most stellar programs on TV (in “So You Think You Can Dance”) still wants to have some silly fun with celebrities.
