‘Call the Midwife’ season 5, episode 1 video (PBS): Go behind the scenes with Helen George, cast

On Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, PBS is bringing back one of our favorites from the UK in “Call the Midwife.” There are few dramas out there as dedicated to portraying a period of time in terms of both style and sentiment. Also, the performances are great, and the show makes you care enough that it almost requires you to watch with a box of tissues nearby.

Just in case you want to get some more news regarding what is going to be coming up on this first episode, take a look at the attached synopsis:

“In the Season 5 premiere, a couple disagrees about the future of their child, who was born with severe deformities. In other events, Delia’s mother wants her to move back home to Wales.”

After seeing the premiere in Britain (though without giving too much away), we will tell you that there will be some more exploration into the Delia – Patsy relationship than we have seen so far. Also, Trixie is going to find a new way to occupy her time following her battle with alcoholism last season. As for the story regarding deformities, this in one way or another may be around the majority of the series.
