‘Longmire’ season 5 spoilers: ‘The Killing’ alum snags important role

Longmire -

Remember when we said that “Longmire” is not a show with a tendency to spill many details in advance about upcoming episodes? Well, that’s still true, which is why we are so pleased to have something new to offer you right now.

According to Just Jared Jr., Sterling Beaumon, best known for playing Lincoln on “The Killing” or a young Ben Linus on “Lost,” has been tapped to play the role of Andrew Price, a kid from a prep-school background who is caught rummaging through the home of Donna Sue Monahan (Ally Walker). Upon being discovered by Walt (Robert Taylor) and Vic (Katee Sackhoff), he claims that he is Donna’s son.

We were first introduced to Walker’s character on season 4, with her being set up in a short period of time as a potential love interest for Walt. The two came together in the season 4 finale, but it was not entirely clear just what the arrival of a mystery shooter would do to their livelihood or their relationship. One of the big question marks at the moment is learning a thing or two more about who this person is, what they want, and why they chose this particular time to go after either the Sheriff or the doctor.

There’s no premiere date just yet for “Longmire” season 5, but expect to see it premiere at some point this fall. Beaumon is reportedly recurring, so we could end up seeing him in several episodes over the course of the season.
