‘The Fosters’ season 3 finale spoilers: How is Jude coping following Jack’s death?

Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters” was in one way joyous, since it brought an opportunity to the surface for Brandon to finally turn his Romeo & Juliet musical into a reality. However, at the same exact time this was an episode that featured one of the saddest moments of the entire series as Jack, Jude’s newfound friend and someone Callie was fighting hard for, was found dead by Stef.

It’s easy to assume that this is going to hit Jude hard, and that is something that executive producer Bradley Bredeweg confirms to TVLine:

“You’re going to see Jude really kind of crumble. At that point, we will see his Fosters family rally around him to try to help him recover.”

Bredeweg also confirms that this death is going to lead to a shifting tide between Justina and Callie, which to us really is not much of a surprise when you consider what Callie is fighting for at the moment with the foster care system. Given that there is only one episode left this season, it’s hard to imagine that there will be some sort of a seismic shift in the story that evolves things by leaps and bounds. However, at the same exact time we wouldn’t be shocked if there was a little bit of movement that tricked down into the upcoming fourth season. While there is no premiere date announced for that at present, we do at least know that it is coming to Freeform.
