‘The X-Files’ season 10, episode 5 video: Mulder, Scully, and sounds from the heavens

X-Files -Is there a religious phenomenon occurring on Monday night’s new episode of “The X-Files“? We’re not sure that we can say that, but as Mulder makes it clear in the sneak peek below, it does not matter so much what he believes as it does what others believe about the circumstances going on around them.

Here is the picture that this particular preview paints: There have been international reports about people hearing odd sounds seemingly coming from the sky, and it is of course the responsibility of our two leads to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately, they are not exactly close to understanding precisely what is going on here. This episode is going to be in many ways yet another standalone, and it serves as an opportunity for the show to explore scientific phenomena through the lens of religious perception.

Also, it’s a great chance for some Gillian Anderson one-liners, including when she coins her and Mulder the FBI’s “most-unwanted.” They’ll always be most-wanted in our books! There’s a reason that the show is continuing to get such great ratings for Fox, and it stems back first and foremost to sense of fun and nostalgia that people get from checking out these two parties in supernatural adventures.

Following the conclusion of this episode, there is only one left in “My Struggle (Part II),” which is going to explore some of the the situations that first began to unfold in the season premiere with Tad O’Malley (Joel McHale).
