‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 spoilers: All about the Hilltop Colony

twdWe have the midseason premiere of “The Walking Dead” coming up on Sunday night, and over the course of the next eight episodes, you’re going to have a chance to see the world as you know it slowly expand. We’ve already seen some of Negan’s men, and over the coming weeks we’ll be getting a chance to see people like Jesus and Gregory enter the world. These are people who will eventually lead to the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the infamous character, who should be around in the season finale / be a major part of the upcoming seventh season. Let’s just say that this is someone who could be an enormous force for quite some time.

Before we get to him, though, doesn’t it seem right that we get to know the Hilltop Colony more? This is a place that, per showrunner Scott M. Gimple, will have a very different feel and flair to what we’ve seen in Alexandria. Here is what he had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“The Hilltop has had a completely different path than Alexandria or Rick’s group. It’s just a whole different experience of the Apocalypse and that has resulted in a very, very different place than Alexandria.”

By the end of the midseason premiere we hope to get some more teases of what is coming … even if we don’t know everything just yet. The top priority over the early portion of the hour is probably going to be trying to figure out whether or not Rick and company can figure out how to escape the most-unfortunate situation within Alexandria’s city walls.
