‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: Is Halstead in serious danger?

The life of a police officer is very rarely a safe one. Earlier this season on “Chicago PD,” we got a chance to at least have a little bit of this courtesy of Jay Halstead being in danger to the point that Lindsay rejoined the force and did what she could to rescue him. We wish that this was the only time this season that Jesse Lee Soffer’s character was in this sort of danger, but we’ve certainly got some evidence now that more trouble is coming his way.

Below, take a look at the upcoming March 3 installment entitled “Forty-Caliber Bread Crumb,” one that could see Jay actually in danger when he is not working in his typical capacity:

“While out on a bank run for his off-duty security job at the dispensary, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and his co-workers find themselves under attack by a violent robbery crew which quickly becomes a full-scale shootout. Voight (Jason Beghe) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) question the owner of the dispensary who mentions her business has received threats from local gangs upset she’s cutting into their revenue. Meanwhile Roman (Brian Geraghty), Burgess (Marina Squerciati), Antonio (Jon Seda), Halstead, Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) and Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) follow-up on a lead and track down a potential suspect.”

The good news for Jay is obviously that he is some very powerful friends at his side who are capable of helping him out, but does this really mean that he will be able to emerge from this rubble unscathed? We wouldn’t count on anything for sure at the moment.
