‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Danielle Panabaker on Killer Frost’s immediate future

Killer Frost -

This past episode of “The Flash,” while excellent in so many ways, did have a little bit of a familiar feel to it when you consider much of what we ended up seeing at the end of it. Once again, Ronnie Raymond is dead. This time around, the difference is that he was evil and working for Zoom; the only reason that Killer Frost a.k.a. Caitlin is still around is because she is the only one who was not fully on board the idea of overtaking him.

Does the death of Ronnie mean that she will actually be working on the same page as Team Flash? That’s something that you may want to assume based on a recent preview, but as Danielle Panabaker tells Entertainment Weekly in new comments, the real answer is ultimately a little bit more complicated than this:

“If Zoom kills your partner, would you really be that quick to defy him? I’m not sure that she’s going to be their best source of assistance. It’s tough for her. It’s Zoom and Zoom’s scary to everyone, even if you’re a villain and working for him. Clearly he doesn’t have any qualms about killing anyone who angers him, which makes him even scarier. For Killer Frost, it continues to terrify her. Zoom is no one to be messed with.”

Ultimately, we imagine that Killer Frost will take somewhat of a cautious approach. She may be willing to lend a helping hand in some way to the likes of Cisco and Harry, but only if there is no way for her to be found out in the process. She’s a survivalist, and she will want to preserve her own life before doing anything to send the Big Bad for this season careening in her direction.
