‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Ben Higgins, JoJo Fletcher, and the Chicago Cubs

While Ben Higgins may be spending much of Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor” in Warsaw, Indiana, at least one of his dates is going to be heading somewhere beyond the city limits and into Chicago.

The synopsis below reveals that not only are Ben and JoJo Fletcher getting some alone time together on this upcoming installment, but that they are also doing so at a place that happens to hold great significant to him thanks to it being the home field of his favorite baseball team:

“JoJo and Ben travel to Chicago for a wonderful day at famed Wrigley Field, the home of Ben’s beloved Chicago Cubs. A romantic dinner in the middle of center field enables JoJo to open up about her past relationships and her fear of being hurt again.”

There are a couple of immediately-interesting things to us about this date.

1. Given that JoJo is from Dallas, don’t you think that she has to be a Texas Rangers fan? (Then again, that may be a false generalization, given that we are also a Cubs fan from Dallas.)

2. When looking at Warsaw on the map, Ben really could’ve grown up a fan of a lot of different teams that were all a similar distance to him: The Cubs, the White Sox, the Cleveland Indians, and the Detroit Tigers. Even beyond them, it’s not like he grew up too far from the Milwaukee Brewers, the Cincinnati Reds, or the St. Louis Cardinals, either.

Ultimately, we figure that baseball teams don’t really matter in the context of this date, but it’s hard to talk about what is such an easy-to-telegraph date at the moment. After all, we’d be shocked if JoJo does not get a hometown date.
