‘Outlander’ season 2 premiere date, first trailer revealed!

Outlander -For everyone out there looking to finally get some more information when it comes to “Outlander,” we come bearing great news as we inch closer to the Valentine’s Day holiday: The show’s official premiere date! Starz has confirmed that you will be seeing more of the Caitriona Balfe – Sam Heughan series starting on Saturday, April 9, and the latest trailer (via Entertainment Weekly) does a very good job of setting up the latest stage of the journey.

For those of you needing a quick refresher on what sort of events are coming up on the series, here you go: At the end of season 1 Jamie and Claire left from Scotland to France, where they could begin a new life for their unborn child without some of the pain and constant danger that they were in. However, what they’re about to discover is a new place on the brink of war, a city that is much more deceptive and political, and a battle to change history that will prove itself to not be easy.

Based on the promo, it certainly seems as though time travel will be more of a theme in season 2 than ever before, given that we are going to see Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) once more on the show as well as having Claire back in the present. She and Jamie promise each other that they will always find their way back to each other, and we’re confident that they will. With that being said, though, there are going to be some enormous struggles to try and make that endgame happen.
