‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 will go back in time to reveal Jackson – April status

Who said that “Grey’s Anatomy” had to be told in a linear fashion? It’s not something that has always been a priority in the past, and based on some of what we’re seeing right now, it is also not a full-on priority moving forward, either.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming February 25 episode entitled “Unbreak My Heart” is going to present you with a chance to see almost the full spectrum of the relationship between Jackson and April, starting with when they met and carrying on until we eventually learn the status of their relationship as it is now. We’ve seen the two go through many ups and downs, and we know that there will be quite an interest in the midseason premiere Thursday in knowing where they stand.

So why not give the people what they want then? The only answer we can offer up for you is that the series does not want to run the risk of giving themselves too much to do right away. The midseason premiere is going to focus heavily on the character of Meredith Grey, who becomes in serious danger after she is attacked by a patient. Giving this a separate episode allows Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew more time to shine, which is something that each of them, coupled with this story, deserve.
