‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: Meet Harper — a potential new love interest?

“The Blacklist” has certainly been rather keen to touch on matters of the heart as of late, and yes, we did use that particular word intentionally. Romance is something we’ve seen from everyone from Liz, Tom, to even Red in some way the past couple of weeks, and it is that thing that they can all return to when the going gets tough.

So is someone at the FBI Task Force about to get a new love interest of their own? It seems that way based on a new TVLine report suggesting that a new character named Harper could be entering the mix sooner rather than later. We know that she is most likely in her thirties and with a tough outlook; here is more from the character description:

“Military-trained with an unshakable moral code, she’s a natural leader who prides herself on her work. Attractive but guarded due to a troubled past, beneath her tough tomboy exterior is a huge heart — if she’d ever let anyone see it.”

Sure, this character sounds like a wide array of other people we’ve heard mentioned here and there on other shows, but they could still be fantastic. In situations like this, a whole lot of it in the end really comes down to who you get playing the role. If you can find someone who can infuse the right amount of heart and soul into the part, then you may be able to find someone who becomes an integral part of the show for some time come.
