Is ‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 14 new tonight? What lies ahead

We’ll go ahead and kick this “Hawaii Five-0” article off now with the bad news: There is no new episode airing on CBS. It’s been nice to get a consistent run of new episodes in earlier January, but that’s been at an end now for the past two weeks.

So what’s the good news? Look at it like this: We’re almost at the light at the end of the tunnel! There is a new episode coming on CBS next week, and we imagine that this will be one to really kick off the February sweeps in grand fashion. You may have heard already that the music of Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams album will serve as the episode’s soundtrack, which is a nice little tie-in to the fact that they are performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year.

Just to make you even more excited for the show to return, here’s an extra bit of casting news per Entertainment Weekly: Melanie Griffith is going to return as Danny’s mother for the upcoming February 19 episode of the show, which will be significant mostly thanks to the fact that this is an opportunity to see her and Danny deal with a matter that is tied back to Matt. We’re glad to see that the show is not completely forgetting its past, even if getting Dane Cook to return to the show in any capacity proved itself too difficult to actually achieve despite the best efforts of those involved.
