‘Shark Tank’ video: Can Major Mom make a major deal?

Everyone’s known someone at some point in their lives who could use a little bit of help straightening themselves out. It’s easy to learn to be a slob, and sometimes as a result of that it is a little difficult at first to change your patterns. When you do, though, it can be infinitely rewarding.

The sneak peek below for Friday night’s new episode of “Shark Tank” is all about Major Mom, a company that is promising to do everything that it can to help clear out some of the clutter in your life. As for how it is hoping to do that, an answer is simple: Instituting some of the same practices that its founder learned in the military, told in a way that is relatable to consumers.

The hope for Major Mom going into the Tank is expansion, as for the time being it is only available in a limited part of the United States. Is it possible that this could expand? Sure, but we can already picture the Sharks firing back at this particular Major with some concerns. For one, how do you train people around the country to do it right, and can it be scaled in a way where it picks up business everywhere it goes? There needs to be a specific marketing plan beyond just going on the show and hoping that you pull in a bunch of money overnight.
