‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 14 video: Meet Sheldon’s Meemaw

We knew that June Squibb was coming aboard “The Big Bang Theory” Thursday night as Sheldon’s famed Meemaw, but it’s certainly nice to see her in the flesh! The sneak peek below is your first look at the character … and we’re already betting that Amy wishes that she never showed up in the first place, judging from it.

You see, Meemaw is very old-fashioned, really to the extent that she doesn’t think Amy can “have it all” in terms of a job and a relationship. Her “Moonpie” a.k.a. Sheldon needs a lot of attention (which we do at least know to be true), and she also doesn’t like the fact that Amy is not showing a tremendous amount of respect for her. Of course we’re #TeamAmy on this one, but most of the fun we figure is going to be seeing Sheldon desperately try to make the two get along, even if they don’t want to.

Of course, Sheldon is never satisfied causing problems for just one character, which is why we also get a sick Leonard burn in here when she claims that, per Sheldon’s own words, that his job is “more of a hobby” and that is why it’s okay for Penny to be married to him while also working as a pharma rep.

We expect a lot of Meemaw in this episode, but be prepared for another storyline in which Raj starts to question his relationship with Emily after meeting someone new at the comic book store. Is it time for him to consider moving on, given that we know he’s been doubting this relationship for some time?
