‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 9 synopsis puts Andrew Lincoln’s Rick front and center

twdCould one noise ruin everything for Rick Grimes and his crew on “The Walking Dead“? That’s something that was asked the moment that we got to the closing seconds of the midseason finale, and it’s also something that we could see elaborated on when the show returns on Sunday, February 14.

The title for the upcoming episode is “No Way Out,” which is only surprising in the sense of wondering how in the world this hasn’t been a title for an episode before now. The synopsis below offers up at least some further clues as to what to expect, per ComicBook.com:

“While trying to escape Alexandria, Rick and his group meet trouble when sudden noise draws walkers towards them with what could be fatal consequences. Meanwhile, Glenn and Enid attempt to help Maggie.”

What we do know at the moment is that Andrew Lincoln’s character has every intention in the world of staying in Alexandria long-term, and the show doesn’t want to have to keep trudging these characters through the woods time and time again for a new safe haven. The bad news is that the walkers are really just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what some of these people are going to be dealing with. As we know already, Negan is coming aboard the show by the end of the season, and he brings a charisma and a viciousness that is more challenging than anything that a zombie can possibly possess. That’s something they’ll probably hear some more warnings on for some time.
