‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 12 video: The return of Jody Mills

Sheriff Jody Mills is the sort of supporting character we love to see on “Supernatural.” You know that she will be good television every time that you see her, just as you also have to assume that there are going to be problems surrounding her. If that was not the case, we wouldn’t quite know why the Winchesters were coming back to see her!

What’s slightly interesting about the latest sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly is that it is actually Claire (who is living with Jody alongside Alex now) who calls in Sam and Dean for what she feels is a case worthy of their attention. However, the Sheriff doesn’t see this as nearly as big a deal, and actually seems to be at least slightly more preoccupied with dinner. We’re not entirely sure what is actually going on here, but we’re interested in seeing how it wraps up.

The one question that we have for Jody is a rather simple one: Is her head too far in the clouds to see the forest for the trees? That is something that you have to at least be concerned about based on the way she is acting. Something is amiss, and we count on the brothers to get some answers.

There is one other thing, though, that you also have to remember here: The Winchesters are likely to be more than a little bit distracted by everything that is going on at present. After all, you just have to consider what they are going through with Castiel, as that story is far from over.
