‘Twin Peaks’ revival news: Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore sign up; David Lynch may reprise former roler

Showtime -Twin Peaks” is not coming to Showtime until 2017, but we’re continuing to see evidence that Showtime is sparing no expense when it comes to the show’s cast.

We already knew that the cast for the series was going to include Kyle MacLachlan, Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and some familiar faces from the original. Now, Deadline is reporting that joining them could be Naomi Watts (who director David Lynch has worked with before) and also veteran actor Tom Sizemore. Showtime is being super coy regarding the casting for almost everyone on the show, so don’t be too surprised if you don’t know who these people are playing until the series actually returns to the air for the first time in a long time.

Also, the site claims that it is possible that Lynch could reprise his original series role of FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole, who he played on the show in a recurring role. We feel like it’d be smart for this to happen, mostly because our standpoint is that the more familiar faces that “Twin Peaks” can jam into a single episode, the better off we’ll all be as a result.

Since there is still some time to go in production for the show, there will probably be some more casting news in due time. As for an official trailer, all we can say on that at the moment is that it is probably a long ways out. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
