DVR ratings: ‘American Horror Story’ looks slightly better entering season 6

American Horror Story -

Everyone is excited in one way or another to see what the future holds on “American Horror Story,” right? We certainly feel that way after seeing some of the live+3 ratings that the “Hotel” season has generated.

Per a new report from TVbythenumbers, the series with the help of this added viewership has improved from a 1.1 in the 18-49 demographic all the way to a 2.3. Since this data is a little bit harder to track down than your typical live+same day data, it is fair to say that there is an incomplete picture here. The only thing that we know for certain is that the ratings at least look great in comparison to the rest of TV.

What also matters is that despite “Hotel” being a disappointment in our eyes versus many other seasons of the show that have aired, there is still a core group who is clearly watching and enjoying through and through. This means that moving forward, there may be more opportunities to win viewers over, or at least keep the ones that you have. Despite the Golden Globe win for Lady Gaga, we do get the feeling that the showrunners are at least aware that the overall reaction has not been stellar, and that gives them a chance to realize analyze what went wrong, but also figure out where they could go in the future.

Ultimately, we feel like we’re going to have further information on the future of the franchise at PaleyFest in Los Angeles a little bit later this year.
