‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: What’s next for Angela and Hodgins?

The bad news for “Bones” fans right now remains that if you want to see some new episodes of the show, you’re still being forced to wait a while. There is no definite return date as of yet, though we personally do hope that the show will be back at some point later in the spring.

When it does come back, we’re going to see a very different sort of relationship for Hodgins and Angela as they still try to deal with him becoming paralyzed in the midseason finale. As Michaela Conlin teases to TVLine, this will make matters between them rather complicated and then some:

“There are different stages of adapting to a tragedy like this, and right now we’re in the stage of Hodgins giving up a little bit … [The writers] are really honoring those depths, which we’re really grateful for … [Prior to the incident] she always sort of has one foot out the door. But now she’s like, ‘I’m all in with you, I want this to work.’”

Maybe eventually this situation will end up driving Angela and Hodgins closer together … or at least so we hope. There’s no telling for sure what it is going to do in the long-term, but we’re hopeful for them. “Bones” has done a good job over time showing that many of their characters can overcome great obstacles. One example of that is just seeing what we had with Booth and Brennan on the last season of the show.
