‘Devious Maids’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Chuck’ alum Ryan McPartlin signs up recurring role

Devious Maids -

In our efforts to continue to report about all things “Chuck” in hopes that one day the series is magically revived in some shape or form, we today bring you some awesome news regarding Captain Awesome himself in Ryan McPartlin. Since finishing the NBC show he has gone on to have parts on “Hart of Dixie” and “CSI: Miami,” and now he’s set to have a part to play on the fourth season of Lifetime’s “Devious Maids.”

According to Deadline, you are going to get a chance to see McPartlin recur on the show in the role of Kyle, a charming, smart, and super-kind man who is (no surprise here) also described as good-looking. He’s a new neighbor to one of the show’s major characters, but there is someone a little off about him, as well: Specifically, he is perceived as being a little too close to his mother.

It’s obvious a little too early to speculate on just what this role will lead to, but McPartlin is really great at balancing the drama and comedy of these sorts of shows; “Devious Maids” has moments where it gets downright silly, but at the same time it can also shock you with some emotional twists and turns.

The new season will premiere this summer, where we have to imagine it will be paired once more with sleeper hit “UnREAL.” Hopefully the attention that show is getting will bleed over and prove to be a nice little asset in the ratings.
