‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Olivia Caridi’s aggressive approach with Ben Higgins leads to frustration

Olivia -There is something that has become a theme over the first few episode of “The Bachelor“: Olivia Caridi is super-aggressive, really to the point where she rubs some other people the wrong way. You can see some of that in the latest preview below via ABC News.

In some ways, there is nothing that she is doing with Ben Higgins that is necessarily that awful. She’s not making fun of the other women, doing anything appropriate with him physically, or acting like a diva to production. The main issue here is that she just has this attitude that she doesn’t care about the other women. Case in point: Stealing Ben for some alone time, going out on a balcony with him, and then waving down to the other women. Whether consciously or unconsciously, it’s a manipulative reminder that she has him and they don’t. It’s a mental game she is playing on some of the other contestants.

Will this eventually blow up in her face? It’s certainly possible, if for no other reason than that Ben is no dummy. Eventually, he will start to pick up one way or another that many of his suitors are not Olivia fans, and that may have him questioning his own relationship with her. Ideally, you want to look at each relationship in a vacuum, but you also want to know that a potential future wife is someone who is willing to be civil and cordial rather than cold and mercenary-like in her approach to being with you. The winners of this show that have gone on to stay married to the Bachelor or Bachelorette have not been ones who have been disliked by the other contestants; you’re talking about people like Catherine Giudici, J.P. Rosenbaum, and Chris Siegfried, who were all extremely likable.
