ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 9 reportedly delayed one week

Castle -As if waiting for “Castle” until February 1 was bad enough, there’s now some news out there suggesting that you will be stuck waiting for a little while longer.

As first uncovered by SpoilerTV, you will get a chance to see the Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic series now beginning on February 8. As for the reasoning for this, the only good one we can give you is that ABC clearly wants to make “Bachelor Live” into a five-week thing rather than a four-week experiment. In doing it this way, they ensure that they have one fewer week in which there is new programming on the schedule.

Something else we’d say here is to not be surprised in the event that if “Castle” is renewed, the show’s overall order is adjusted somewhat so that it airs in batches only after “Dancing with the Stars” in the fall and the spring, and “Bachelor Live” is turned into a season-long thing. The ratings for it have not been spectacular, but they have also been on par through two weeks to what we were seeing from the eighth season of “Castle” to date.

When the show does return, it will most likely be doing so with a fun episode that takes Castle and Beckett into the world of competitive singing. Think “Pitch Perfect” in this instance, but gone horribly wrong. The LokSat case will get some further attention in the next part of the season, with the same thing going for Castle’s disappearance, which has now played out for two years.
