People’s Choice Awards 2016: Sharon Osbourne fights back after ‘The Talk’ victory upstaged by stage-crasher

PCA -

We’re sure that Kanye West is not going to like the phrase “pulling a Kanye West” every time that someone comes on stage during an awards show to ruin an acceptance speech, but oh well … that is precisely what happened during the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night.

You can see this in the video below, but what more or less happened can be described as such: After “The Talk” won an award for Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team, the panel’s acceptance speech was completely upstaged by some guy running onstage and trying to promote his album. From there, Sheryl Underwood tries to push him away while Sharon Osbourne tries kicking at him. We’re not sure which one of them had a better reaction to this, though as we noted, we think Sheryl’s got her reference wrong when she claims that this guy is “not going to pull a Steve Harvey up in here.” If Harvey was hosting, he would’ve said that “The View” won.

Anyway, this was a random moment during what was an awards show that probably was not planning to get attention of this variety going into the night. It’s at least entertaining!

As for what the guy was trying to do, it sounded like he was promoting an album … though we’re not exactly sure how crashing a stage and taking a mic away from daytime TV hosts is considered to be something that is so edgy that we have to check out your music. Just saying.
