‘iZombie’ season 2 spoilers: Kristen Bell teams up yet again with ‘Veronica Mars’ creator

We wondered whether or not Kristen Bell would ever appear on “iZombie,” if for no other reason than that she was so iconic to Rob Thomas’ other show in “Veronica Mars.” She can escape from that easily thanks to “House of Lies” and all of her other work, but this is the same network and the same producer.

Luckily, we’re glad to learn that she will in fact be turning up … albeit in a different form than we expected. As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, Bell will provide a voice-over on an upcoming episode that is a spoof of “Fifty Shades of Grey” in many ways. Liv (Rose McIver) opts to devour a brain of a young woman who was poised, and they happen to turn out to be both a librarian and secretly a writer of a very particular brand of fiction. You can probably figure out fairly easily where we are going with this.

We hope that Bell’s role is a narrator for some of this said fiction, mostly because it’d would be the sort of thing that is completely hilarious and against type for her “Gossip Girl” narrator (or Anna on “Frozen”) in so many ways. Sure, we presume that you do already have that on “House of Lies,” but that is a very different show as a whole when it comes to substance.

There’s no exact premiere date for this episode just yet, but we’ll let you know some more information as soon as we have it here.
