‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 spoilers: Joe Reagan’s death comes back to the forefront

Blue Bloods season 6Joe Reagan is not a name that we have heard too much on “Blue Bloods” as of late, but his memory obviously is held dear by every person in the family. He is a reminder of the dangers that come with being a police officer, but also someone who can be held as an example of what to be like on the job.

So how is he going to become involved in an upcoming story, more than six years after his passing? The upcoming January 15 installment of the show, entitled “Cursed,” is going to test whether or not Frank can let go of something that he holds sacred when it comes to his deceased son. The synopsis below offers up more information:

“When a local mobster is gunned down in his car, Danny and Baez try to get information from the mob’s low-level errand boy they find tied up in the trunk before the gang retaliates. Also, an NYPD officer asks for a new shield number to honor her late father, but Frank is conflicted as it’s the same number as his deceased son, Joe’s.”

Hopefully the end of this episode is going to bring about a moment where Frank is able to let someone else be able to honor a late relative’s legacy, and find a little bit of peace in doing so. We think it is probably something that Joe would want, and more than that it is something that Frank even wants to do. The issue lies here in that sometimes, the head and the heart do very different things depending on the situation presented.
