‘Doctor Who’ stars continue to be awesome; Christopher Eccleston sends love in #WhoDaniel campaign

Doctor Who -There may not be much in the way of story news coming out on Monday in relation to “Doctor Who,” but there is still plenty of goodness. Specifically, we are speaking here in reference to the continued effort of many involved in the show who have been supporting the #WhoDaniel campaign.

If you have not heard of this campaign to date, it is basically devised in support of Daniel, a teenage Brit who is battling both Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and Postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS), and has spent a great deal of time bedridden in a hospital. The 14-year old was previously visited by none other than the current Doctor himself in Peter Capaldi, who even stayed in character for the entire visit. (This is one of many reasons to love Peter’s affection for the show.)

To go along with this visit, Daniel has received videos from such people as showrunner Steven Moffat and Sylvester McCoy, famous for playing the seventh Doctor. Below is one of the latest videos from none other than Christopher Eccleston, the ninth Doctor and one of the actors really responsible for getting the series back off the ground for its big revival on the BBC. Eccleston was only a part of the show for a season, but does seem to have great affection still for it in his own way … even if he decided not to appear in the 50th Anniversary Special two years ago.

For those who didn’t hear, this is a big day for Eccleston in general, given that he was recently nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his work on “The Leftovers.”
