‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ finale spoilers: Sarah Paulson to appear … as another character

AHSIf we were to give our honest opinion on Sarah Paulson’s “American Horror Story: Hotel” character of Sally, we’d say that she is a bit lacking. She doesn’t get consistent airtime, and it feels almost obvious to us that she is juggling duties with this show and then “American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson.”

What is interesting is that as we start to near the end of this particular season, it looks like Paulson is even pulling double-duty on this particular show! According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress is going to reprise her role as psychic Billie Dean Howard in the finale, which will air on FX this January. This is the character that the show first played on the first season subtitled “Murder House,” and since that show aired she has gone on to be a successful reality TV star.

Paulson’s arc on “Hotel” so far has been mostly mired by inconsistency, given that she only seems to turn up around characters tied to one of the major themes of this particular season: Addiction. While having an actor play multiple characters on a single season is somewhat unusual, it’s far from the first time we’ve seen it. We even are seeing it with Finn Wittrock at the moment this season as he plays both Tristan and the Countess’ first love.
