‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Does Stephen Amell know answer to flash-forward mystery?

Oliver -

While we would argue that “Arrow” always has enough narrative drive for the series to push through from one week to the next, the mystery established at the start of the season has certainly given us another narrative punch. We’ve wondered ever since seeing that flash-forward just who is buried in that mystery grave, and it does not appear as though the series is in much of a hurry at all to pay that story.

Speaking (per ComicBook.com) at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest recently, Stephen Amell made it clear that at the time of that event this past weekend, he did not know the answer to who was in the ground … and that is with us being well-aware of the fact that the show is several episodes ahead over where they are right now in production:

That’s not for me to know. That’s for our producers to know. It’s only for me to know if and when I need to do something if we end up doing another flash forward in the show. I needed to know certain things about the scene without knowing who it actually was when we did the initial flash forward. I just needed to simply know that the person I wanted to kill was a him and that the person that was in the grave was someone I cared a lot about. That’s all I needed to know. I don’t need to know the specifics until if and when we shoot another flash forward scene if there was something else that I had to say.”

At the moment, it’s hard to even that many theories about it. For now, we’d say that the likely candidates are people like Donna Smoak, Quentin Lance, or maybe even Thea Queen. All we know is that there’ll be revolts if the person in the ground is either Diggle or Felicity.
