‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Eli, Ruth clash over Jason Crouse

Come Sunday night’s new episode of “The Good Wife,” it may be fair to say that Eli is in for a rude awakening yet again when it comes to Ruth. What’s the latest revelation? This time, it has a little something to do with the fact that she is concerned about Jason Crouse … and apparently Alicia’s “arm-touching” of him.

As you can see in the new sneak peek below, Ruth confronts Eli over the issue, and tells him that they need to find a situation to the problem and rather quickly. This is something that could otherwise plague Peter’s campaign, and also cause Alicia great harm in her journey for redemption after the whole State’s Attorney mess that we saw at the end of this past season. We think that Ruth is someone with a very singular focus, and as a result of that she wants things to happen really without thinking so much of whatever the consequences to it could be.

Meanwhile, Eli is someone who lived in a little bit more of a gray area, and that makes things all the messier when you consider everything that he has went through with the Florricks already. We think one of the reasons why he is not so quick to act on these situations anymore is because, to be rather frank, he has grown almost numb to it. Seeing these things just do not make much of an impact on him at this point.

So is Jason a real problem, or is this all for the most part in Ruth’s head? We feel like by the end of the next two episodes of the show, you’ll have your answer in one form or another.
