Is ‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 9 new tonight on NBC? Show boss on Megan Boone pregnancy

Today is Thanksgiving, so you really should not be that shocked to hear that there is no new episode of “The Blacklist” airing on NBC. What may be a little bit more of a surprise out there is learning that there will not be back on the air until January 7.

So why the long wait? It’s pretty simple: The want to save some story for the new year, and we cannot really blame them for that given that in the new year, there will be less going on with holidays and various special programming. Therefore, there are more chances to convince people to tune in to the show!

Now that we’ve talked about that, let’s move on and discuss what is also an important question for the show: Will they write in Megan Boone’s pregnancy? Based on what executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly, it’s possible:

“We are still trying to figure it out … It plays in a number of different ways, both story wise and physically, for Megan in trying to figure out what that would mean to the show.”

While Liz did sleep with Tom prior before the two of them went on the run, and we already know of the two characters’ previous desire to have a family (or at least in Tom’s case put on that facade), this would present a possibility for them to go down that road. The reality here is that even when the writers decide what to do, they probably still won’t announce it publicly. You’ll ultimately have to watch to find out.
