‘The Fosters’ season 3 to return one week later than expected

The Fosters -

There is a slight change coming out now in the January schedule over on ABC Family / soon-to-be Freeform. While the premiere dates for “Pretty Little Liars” (January 12) and many other shows are remaining the same, those of you who love “The Fosters” are going to be stuck waiting a little while longer than you thought.

Now, it has been confirmed that “The Fosters” will be coming back on Monday, January 25, and the same goes for new series “Recovery Road,” which is premiere right afterwards. This should make a good lineup of dramatic programming for the network, though we still do not understand the reason for the delay. If we were them, we’d try to get these shows on as early as possible during the year, mostly to get people hooked before the February sweeps rolls around. This is always the time of year when things start to become incredibly competitive, and there are dozens of different viable options out there in terms of what people can choose to check out.

“The Fosters” will hopefully pick up not too long after Callie’s formal adoption, just so that we have an opportunity to really see whether or not there are any long-lasting implications from what happened between her and Brandon. There is a reason why this is one of the most-popular shows on the network, and that is because of its compelling plotlines and relatable characters.

As we get closer to “The Fosters” returning in January, we certainly plan to have some more updates all about it. Be on the lookout for some further news!
