‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 9 preview: What’s next for Carrie, Saul, Allison?

“Homeland” season 5 has certainly delivered a few surprises already this season, and moving into the final four episodes of the season, one thing feels pretty clear: All eyes are starting to be on Allison. Sunday night’s new episode showed her journey alongside Carrie’s own, and we realized that in some ways in comparison to her colleagues past and present, Allison is somewhat simple. She has a price, and her turn creates a variety of unexpected problems.

Also, “Homeland” continues to have a knack for being very terrifying when it comes to their timing. This show has a major attack-threat story going on right now in a European city, and much of the world is still grieving over some of what took place recently in Paris.

By the time we make it through the end of the next new episode, the one thing we can hope for is answers and more of them on a variety of different subjects. We want to learn more about Allison’s motives, the endgame, Quinn’s affiliations, and if there is a way for all of the good guys to come together and stop some threats.

Also, we want to see how the show transitions into season 6 into a different way than they have in the past. We had a big time jump between seasons 4 and 5, but we’d like to actually see something smaller this time in an effort to deal more with the immediate aftermath.
