‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Is Allison playing Carrie?

Sunday night’s new episode of “Homeland” is just a matter of days away, and based on the latest sneak peek that we have below courtesy of Showtime, there are once again going to be a wide array of questions.

What’s one of the big ones at the moment? It really ties back to the question about what Allison and Ivan really want to do with Carrie, and whether or not they can get away with it without fail. In the sneak peek below, she presses him on some of the concerns that she has, mostly because of their history. Ivan tries to assure her otherwise when it comes to the meeting, but it remains to be seen whether or not she gets what she hopes to from this situation.

In a way, there is a sort of broken-record feeling to all of this with Carrie. She once again finds herself as a potential target in a chaotic environment, and even when she wants to escape, something comes up that renders it impossible for her to do so. We’re not entirely sure that she will ever be able to escape from all of the chaos, even when she really wants to. This season is the first time that we started to feel like she was interested in getting away from all of the wreckage.
