‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: Christmas chaos for Hayley, Jackson, more in ‘Savior’

Originals -Christmas episodes are hardly ever assured for a show like “The Originals,” mostly because it does not always feature a timeline that is in lockstep with what is happening in the real world. Also, this is a show where people get killed a lot. It’s probably fair to say that a good percentage of the time, you are dealing with characters who are not in the holiday spirit.

“Savior” is the holiday episode for The CW show airing on December 10, and based on the synopsis below, it seems like there is going to be very little holiday cheer thanks to everything that is going to be taking place with Hayley, Jackson, Klaus, and some other characters:

“When a dangerous affliction threatens to expose one of her siblings, Freya (Riley Voelkel) searches for a way to reverse the crippling curse even as she finds herself the target of The Strix’s latest plan. Elsewhere, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) keeps a watchful eye over Cami (Leah Pipes) while she attempts to help Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring), whose life has begun to spiral out of control as a result of Lucien’s compulsion. Meanwhile, a confrontation with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) causes Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) to reevaluate his decision to stay out of witch business, and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) attempt at a quiet Christmas with Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) and Hope results in an unexpected surprise.”

Ultimately, our hope for this episode is mostly that it provides us with an opportunity to see some people out of their element, and also to figure out more of what the relationship between Klaus and Cami is going to be moving forward. We do get a sense that they are evolving over time, and hopefully this is going to be a pattern that continues.
