‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Show host hypes up Ben Higgins’ season

For anyone who is altogether curious about the future of Ben Higgins as “The Bachelor,” there’s good news: Everyone is excited about the new season! Yes, we know that the producers / stars / host would hype up the show anyway, but there are some ways that you can sift through the nonsense. If you look back, for example, at the buildup to Juan Pablo Galavis’ season, “different” was really the main operating word that many people said. Not great … but “different.”

There’s no “different” this time around! Just take a look at what host Chris Harrison said on “Good Morning America” this week:

“Ben is going to be a phenomenal bachelor … But at the same time, when you have somebody who is a great catch, there will be drama. I can’t wait for everybody to see this season.”

Ben’s season is finishing filming right around now; as with past seasons, they are typically done by Thanksgiving, and then begins the period of excruciating waiting while the Bachelor and the woman he chose have to stay silent leading up to the premiere.

As you can see above, ABC also recently released their first bit of art for the new season … which of course hypes poor Ben up as “perfect” when no human being is. Then again, we’re happy that they at least went with something reasonably classy here versus having him shirtless somewhere or in another spot that would have been incredibly ridiculous. It helps us to take the show at least moderately seriously, which we presume is at least what they are hoping for.
