‘The Amazing Race 27’ episode 9 preview: U-turn drama galore!

Friday night’s new episode of “The Amazing Race” is going to feature the return of the Double U-Turn, and it will also feature the return to India … otherwise known as a location that we’ve become incredibly tired of seeing on the show over the years. We’re almost a broken record in how much we’ve complained about that. Who knows? Maybe the show is going to figure out a way to introduce the location in a different way, where we are not just seeing people in crowded buses and on crowded streets.

The promo below (minor spoilers in the event you are conscious of that) features a lot of drama regarding scheming / plotting at the U-Turn board. Justin & Diana seem particularly gleeful in throwing another team (Logan & Chris) under the bus to Tiffany & Krista. Is this going to really work to cause problems? We don’t really think it will by any stretch of the imagination.

The reality here is that there is nothing that the Green Team can do to reduce the target on their back. They’re huge physical threats and they know the game backwards and forwards. We also have a hard time seeing them go home as a result of all the drama. As they know from watching the show, the right thing to do is to U-Turn someone you know is behind you. If we were them, we’d hit the team that is furthest back, guaranteeing further that you’ve got enough time to do the other Detour.
