‘Longmire’ actor Bailey Chase nabs ‘Grimm’ season 5, ‘Twin Peaks’ role

Grimm -We should start off this article with a spoilers warning: Don’t keep reading if you have not started “Longmire” season 4 just yet. If you’re still with us, read on…

After such a long campaign to save the crime drama after A&E’s cancellation, we know that there was a certain bit of sadness in the air the moment it was revealed that Branch Connally had not survived the events of the season 3 finale. Yet, it certainly appears that the man behind the role in Bailey Chase is doing fine, with a series of interesting roles coming up.

According to a report from Deadline, Chase is going to be appearing on “Grimm” later this season as Lucien Petrovich, the head of a Wesen revolutionary group. This is not the only supernatural series you are going to be seeing him in, either, as the site notes that he turns up in the pilot for Fox’s “Lucifer,” which will premiere early next year.

Now, let’s talk “Twin Peaks” … though there is really not that much to talk about here. All we can say with confidence is that he will be a part of the upcoming Showtime revival from David Lynch and Mark Frost, but it is well-known at this point just how coy the producers are being about just what is going to be coming up. It seems very much like an intentional move on their part to keep everything under wraps (including roles), and we don’t completely blame them. So much about this show is about surprise.

So while we’re bummed Chase isn’t on “Longmire” anymore, it certainly seems clear that he has a lot of other great work coming at him in all directions.
