Ratings: ‘Elementary’ season 4, ‘2 Broke Girls’ premiere, ‘Heroes: Reborn’ down (11/12/2015)

ElementaryWhat is interesting more than anything else when looking at the ratings for Thursday night is how, for the most part, not really all that much changed between the numbers this time and the numbers the week before. Therefore, it makes matters a little more difficult to analyze.

The winners – Well, “The Big Bang Theory” (3.8) is up slightly, and should pass “Empire” as the #1 show on network TV soon if the drama continues to drop. For the most part, though, the “good” news is that “Scandal” (2.2), ” “Bones” (1.1), “The Vampire Diaries” (0.6), “The Blacklist” (1.4), and “How to Get Away with Murder” (1.9) all posted the same figures as the week before. Hey, it’s better than the alternative.

The losers – The premiere of “2 Broke Girls” on CBS (2.0) was down versus the previous season premiere, and this number will probably drop further thanks to CBS stations across New York being preempted for a Thursday Night Football game. We still don’t think that is necessarily horrible, though, as this show likely remains a solid contributor for the network for quite a while to come. “Elementary” (1.3) also declined and will probably drop further in the finals.

The only other notable decline was “Heroes: Reborn” (1.1), which was down more than 10% versus the week before. Granted, we do not think this matters much as this show is likely to not be picked up for another run. Luckily, it was meant to work as a standalone plot in the first place.
