‘Suits’ season 5, episode 11, ‘Colony’ premiere dates revealed by USA

Fans of “Suits,” there is no longer any reason to wait around questioning when your show will return to USA. Answers lie within!

The Patrick J. Adams – Gabriel Macht series is going to be returning on Wednesday, January 27 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time (note the different timeslot). We do wonder to a certain extent why USA doesn’t make the show premiere a little bit earlier in the month to avoid February sweeps competition, but they also want a piece of that pie. To be fair, they also probably are aware that it’s not exactly like there is any major competition killing it in that spot. “Chicago PD” is probably the biggest threat on the lineup.

“Suits” will have the challenge in its final six episodes of the season in determining how Mike Ross (Adams) is able to get out of his present predicament after being arrested as a result of his longstanding lies about his certifications. Who turned him in? That’s as big of a cliffhanger as any, and the answer could always end up being a surprise.

In other USA news, the network also announced that new series “Colony,” starring Josh Holloway (“Lost”) and Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Walking Dead”) as people looking to bring back freedom to a war-torn and inhabited Los Angeles, will be starting up on Thursday, January 14 at 10:00 p.m. following a broadcast of WWE’s “SmackDown.” It’s an interesting choice to pair the show up with wrestling rather than “Suits,” but we’ll see how that works.
