TV Quick Hits: Miss Universe heads to Fox; ‘Nashville’ season 4 news; LeBron James, Chris Hardwick team up

Miss Universe has a new home – Well, that didn’t take too long at all.

Months after all of the drama first broke regarding the end of the Miss USA Pageant at NBC thanks to some of Donald Trump’s comments, the pageant (which no longer has the mogul as one of its owners) has a new broadcast partner in Fox. The Miss Universe Pageant will now air on the network come December 20, and from there they will also air Miss USA next summer. In a statement, Fox president David Madden said the following:

“The Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants are iconic television events loved by generations of viewers around the world. We are very excited to partner with IMG and The Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites.”

“Nashville” nets Jessy Schram – The former “Falling Skies” actress, also known for being Cinderella on “Once Upon a Time,” has signed to appear on the upcoming fourth season of the ABC drama as (you guessed it!) a musician. Her name is Cash Gray, and she is an up-and-comer within the country music industry.

Chris Hardwick, LeBron James team up – We certainly did not see this pairing coming, but the “Talking Dead” / “@midnight” host is joining forces with the NBA icon to host “The Wall,” an upcoming NBC game show that features trivia and also scoring amounts of money by landing a ball in certain spots. Here’s what LeBron had to say on the subject:

“I’m excited about this series because it’s different than anything on TV right now. It’s got everything — excitement, drama, and action — and it’s something the entire family can watch and root for together. I believe Chris Hardwick brings all of that together in a really entertaining way that people will enjoy. For SpringHill Entertainment, it’s about creating quality and innovative content for all types of audiences, and I’m proud of the exciting projects we continue to be a part of.”
